i put in a obx lsd and was wondering if i have to change the type of fluid i run or add a lsd additive, oh i ran royal purple before
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
i would assume that would be a question for OBX as i highly doubt anybody else on here has used that thing... pretty sure your the first, man.

GM does make a LSD additive.... But i assume thats for Clutch type LSDs.
NOPE.
I would use GM Dex III, or Saturn trans oil.

no additive needed
The additive you speak of is only needed for units with (for lack of a better description) designs that use actual clutch material for friction surfaces that transfer power in them.
the OBX and Quaife units do not have these kinds of surfaces.
sig not found
additive needed for clutch type LSD's only.
Hey Boosted have you driven your car yet if so what's your take on the way the OBX LSD works cause I have one as well but I'm not going to install it until I install my turbo engine later this year.
where are you guys buying obx lsd from and it is a full lsd right not a lame inserts

I would trust a team green lsd insert over an obx lsd any day.

I actually like the "lame" insert. Works very well for me. Thanks speedracer.

You have to be able to run under 16's to even worry about it.
