About 2 weeks ago my clutch started sticking so we bleed it and then all was well. About 4 days later it started sticking again so I decided that I would take it to the shop in a few days to fix whatever the problem was. In the meantime I was reading some instructions on how to install a short shifter so to get a better understanding of what was involved I took the console out of my car to check things out. After I was done, I decided to take my car out for a quick test drive to make sure I didn't fumble anything while taking out the console... To my amazement, the clutch was no longer sticking and still a few days later it is fine. Before I started the clutch was sticking.
I know there's still a problem with the car, what could it be though???
BTW my car is a Sunfire 2004.
Thanks
cliffs:
-clutch sticking
-bleed the clutch, stopped sticking
-clutching sticking again
-took out console, put it back and the clutch is fine again
I would gladly help you but I am a little unsure at this time. Feel free to PM me if you start having problems with it again. In the meantime the only thing I would reccomend is to make sure the line at the bottom of the clutch fluid reservoir is securly connected so it is not drawing air in there and have a look around for any leaks.
