feeler on clutch issues

so my slave cylinder is going bad (leaking) the car just broke 60K miles. it's not a performance build by any means, anyway i was thinking while i'm in there should i change out the clutch and have the flywheel cut or just the slave cylinder ? I think the clutch still has a good amount of life to it. Anyway what's your opinion?

Well not a bad time to do it. Even if you got like a stage 1 clutch.

if you're there, do it. also, i got my oem flywheel (2.2) for $40, brand new. last i checked, turning a flywheel cost roughly $30... may as well use new parts.

I just had the same dilemma. I went ahead and replaced the clutch, but only because I thought it needed a new one and I already ordered it. I think it depends how many miles are on your car and how you drive. I had about 75k miles on mine.

I think with 60k miles... you could go either way. You probably have alot left on the stock clutch. Plus if you don't care about performance then i would say just replace the slave, because a new clutch will run about $500.

Huh?? A stage 1 clutch (Spec ) is $346.86. This comes with a TOB/Slave. The TOB/Salve by it's self is $174.

oh. Well it would still be cheaper to just replace what's broke (slave).

Besides... Stage 1 spec Clutch=$350
Shipping will be ATLEAST........$25
Getting the flywheel turned $30....Or more if your getting a new one.

So it would still be over 400 dollars... After everything was said and done installing my Stage 2+ it was over $500.

Are you getting a new stock flywheel or an aftermarket one?
