Ok so last night i started my car and put it into reverse and i had to rev to about 3K to get it to move. Then as I started to go forward my car just shifted into high gear like a manual in 5th going 20mph. Later that night it stopped doing that and ran fine. Then today it started to do the same thing and later stopped. My CEL came on and read torque converter circuit stuck on. Also when i rev my engine it's delayed to come back down to normal idle and my speedometer goes up to about 10mph then it literately clicks and goes back to normal idle. I've changed the fluid and filter within the last 10,000 miles. So do you guys know whats going on with it i really need some help on this one?

TOQUE COVENTER SELENOID is fried. It's located inside the transmission on the drivers side. 7hrs of work to replace. part is like $170 or more...
Depending on how much mileage you have on this trany....you are better off fiding another one from the junk yard with a lower mileage.
STOP driving the car....you will fry your discs in the trany...and it will stop moving. then you will have to tow it.

OK so i have a couple of options then.
1) if it involves that amount of work should i just rebuild it? i've done an electronic 700r4 before and i know i'm capable of it.
2) i do recall of a sunfire at my junk yard with a 2.4L does it have the same 4T40E?

All year 4t40E should work they didn't change over the diffrent jbody years just the manual change. gotta love gm.
Do i have to drop the sub frame or is there any other way to get it out?
