Anybody know where to get some at? Aftermarket that is, Ive searched the web for those key words and surprisingly nothing showed up Just wondering if there is a company that makes them for the 4spd auto trannies?

Blue something or something Blue makes heavy duty / race packs. I can not remeber the name for the life of me.

blue plate... ??? that doesnt sound right for some reason.... i know the feeling mike, i was sitting here trying to think of it myself

i wonder if they are a real option for us slushbox lovers? i also wonder how much a tranny shop would charge to install them.. and wtf ever happened to that twisted motorsports' 50% less drivetrain loss 500whp taking tranny?

Brad yup, I can tell right now that my engine is making WAYY more power than my tranny can take.. It always sounds like its over reving when im decelerating.. Its complicated to explain..

me and you are in the same boat david. im am doing a fully built 4t40e with valve job, raysbestos blue plate clutch packs, team green lsd, yank 3000 stall, hardened input and output shafts and the whole setup. get ahold of me and we can do this whoe thing together. im looking for a respectable shop to also to do mine. there is a shop call IPT transmissions and they have a fully built 4t40e that is pretty stout for over 500whp.

Search for Raybestos blue clutch packs they have them listed on there site but no prices =/.. I hope to receive a catalog from them so i can order for my tranny build...

i hope ill be ok with my tranny i think it will be though. someday im hoping to have around 300whp w/ 12 psi or somewhere abouts. it will definatly be getting a rebuild before then though.

Little update.

Found some of these clutch packs online. Ordered today, will be here tomorrow.. Can't beat that Got em for just over 200 shipped.

have you looked around to see how much a shop is going to charge?

^^Yeah I had to call that number they have.

Also, yes ive called the shops around here and they all want 300+ dollars.. Why, I have no clue.. There was one shop here that wanted like 285 or something like that.. Ive seen em as high as 350.00 for these clutch packs.

yeah thats killerquad, but what does that have to do with anything? lol

so are the blue plate's really that much better, or???

Brad, they are high performance clutch plates.. They are stronger material which reduces friction and have less chance of you grinding them down under hard driving.

Ill have pics once we crack open the tranny to compare.

they use them in the 1400 hp eco drag car with the 4t65e, so id say their pretty damn strong. unless you know of something different, which im pretty confident these are the strongest
