I have a 96 Z with the Isuzu 5spd. I lost my bag of bolts for my transmission and wondered if anyone had the list of sizes or worked for gm that could get a copy of the service manual page that has them so i can go to ace and pick up new ones. thanks guys

just go to down to the dealership and ask for all the tranny-to-engine bolts.

your probly going to have to buy them in bulk though (usually 10 to a bag IIRC)

I know there's two different sizes. I have all my bolts out of my tranny at the moment, but I don't have anything to measure them with.

Well i made a special trip out just for you lol ( plus i was kinda bored)

This Pic is the proper location of the bolts, do remember that there are 2 bolts going into the transaxle from the passenger side...( one is through support brace, the other through the block)

Here are the 2 different bolts used to secure the bellhousing to the engine:

Left side (M12x1.75x44mm with an 18mm hex) Right Side (M10x1.5x19mm)

M12x1.75x45mm with an 18mm hex

Here is a list of most of the bolts involved mounting in the MR3/MJ1 Izuzu 76mm transaxles

QTY - Bolt size..............hex....................notes

Bellhousing to engine bolts:
4 - M12x1.75x44mm 18mm hex with M10x1.5x19mm stud
2 - M12x1.75x45mm 18mm hex
4 - M10x1.5 Nut 15mm hex

Transmission support bars:

3 - M10x1.5x30mm 13mm hex Measured Below washer
Rear:
1 - M10x1.5x30mm 13mm hex
1 - M10x1.5x44mm 13mm hex Bolts into transaxle

Transmission Mounts:
Front:
3 - M10x1.5x33mm 13mm hex
1 - M10x1.5x100mm 13mm hex
1 - M10x1.5 Nut 13mm hex
1 - M10 Washer
Rear:
3 - M10x1.5x33mm 13mm hex
1 - M10x1.5x100mm 13mm hex
1 - M10x1.5 Nut 13mm hex
1 - M10 Washer

Starter Bolts:
1 - M10x1.5x113mm 15mm hex
1 - M10x1.5x45mm 13mm hex
1 - M10x1.5x20mm 13mm hex Support bracket to block bolt

Shifter Cable Bracket Bolts:
3 - M8x1.25x18mm 13mm hex

Inspection Cover Bolts:
3 - M8x1.25x22mm 10mm hex

I appologive is anything is incorrect or has variations. I based this off a car that is currently apart and assumed that the fasteners are original. Also i have pictures of all the bolts and related hardware that i listed here, so I can supply high resolution photo if required. You should be able to use m12 bolts assuming the the eyelets on the ground terminals are big enough. Hope this if of some help to people.
