hey guys, i picked up a spec stage 2 clutch from gravana over the summer, and i love it. but within the last couple of weeks i have started noticing a sound if the clutch is "agressively" released. now i by no means pop the clutch , but for say, the tires break loose 1st and second, but third, and even forth you hear almost a belt squeal kind of sound. now i understand that if the tires arnt spinning then somthing is going to. but i am just looking to make sure that there isnt an issue here. i had to slip the clutch alittle more than i would have liked for a couple of weeks after my ho install due to a vacum leak and the lack of time to re seal the mani. anyone have any knowlege/experiance of this?

Likely caused by your belt(s). A quick upshift creates a torque reversal on the accessory drive, the slack side now becomes the drive side - and reduces the effectiveness of the tensioner. The type/ brand/ temperature/ surface condition of the belt and pulleys can make the system susceptible to the audible squeak. Rate of RPM change, inertia of the accessories and tensioner strength create the forces involved. In this case I'm guessing the new clutch has good initial bite and increased the RPM rate of change.
I could be wrong... I'm XXX miles away!

i am not looking forward to changing the belt, from when i did the motor, it was a bitch, but when i get around to it, i will see what if at all a difference it will make. and it does make sense, it was something i actually thought about. but then i thought i was just over thinking things, and didnt know what i was talking about

my clutch did that aswell.. its only when your shift hard right? id so all if is the pressure plate squeeling..instead of the tires chirping
