I got the shifter from Aplus and got it installed today. I have never used the B&M shifter before but I am very happy with this one. Install was pretty easy, I used some directions I found on here. Took the car out for a little drive after I got it in and the shifts feel a lot firmer and more precise, also they are shorter obviously. Not a lot shorter but it makes a nice difference, the shifter it self is probablly 1.5 to 2 inches shorter than stock one its in a very comfortable position for driving.
Overall I would buy it again! Seems to be a very quality product.
I love shift knob, and on the plus side it weights so much if I ever need a weapon I could just unscrew and throw it at somebody!
Nice, I'm probably going to pick one of these up instead of a B&M sometime soon...
From what I've read in the past there isn't really a difference...

I'll never forward another penny towards Cosmo, bunch of idiots. I'd rather pay for the quality over cheap.
Why do you say they are a bunch of idiots?
I know I'm coming off as harsh but I have dealt with their inferior product in the past and horrible customer relation skills over the phone. If it's been good for you then I'm glad all is well. Just my .02
I have had the cosmo shifter for two years now and no problems whatsoever. I shifts nice and precise still just like the day i installed it. I would highly recommend this product for the price.
Hey guys i just bought and installed my cosmo racing shifter. I have to say, what a difference. I bought the shift knob from them as well. Compared to the stock shifter its 2 inchs or so shorter and has a shorter throw( obviously). What i like is that i found the stock shifter to have a cheap feel to it, like the stock shifter is the dollar store shifter in the automotive world.
My old car was a protege with a fidanza short shifter and it was linkege not cable shifter. the cosmo shifter feels a lot more like a linkage shifter that a cable shifter. I think its great, really smooth and definently worth saving the seventy or so odd dollars over the B&M shifter. I would recommend it to anyone who still has the stock shifter, The difference is huge.

so why would you even bother?
Wanting a nice set of black 17's with mint tires? Pm me.
I think he means there isnt really a difference between the B&M and the cosmo
yeah i got that part, but what i DONT get is why he would want to ditch the b&m for the cosmo, especially if since they're basically the same...
makes no sense... unless of course he wants to sell it cuz its the rare 95-99 one??

Thread is a lil old, maybe he did end up going with the B&M, or maybe he didn't really have it and walked into a corner lol. At first i was like "man, why cant z see what this guy is saying", so i checked his reg and saw that he has a B&M. Whos knows, maybe its for another J he has.
instead of A, not instead of THE or MY.
he doesn't own one yet.
