Well, as I was putting the transmission back together, I was about to put in the bolts that hold the differential to its gear. I looked at them and they were all stripped out. I didn't realize that they had lock-tite on from the factory. I didn't bother heating them up, and when I took them out, they stripped all to hell. Needless to say, I need all new bolts. Luckily the threads in the differential were still in perfect shape. Just ruined the bolts. So is this something that GM would stock? Or do I have to go somewhere else....

Yah just go to gm and tell them what you need off the drawings..thats what i usually do anyways..be prepared to pay alot though..
If they are just bolts....nothing special, I would just get them at a hardware store...just make sure they are strong enough, but yes GM can order them, and YES they will be expensive...
Nothing special? Yeah, okay. I don't know any hardware store where you are going to find a Grade 12, 6 point bolt, with a flange head, serrated flange, and also in a metric size.

Fastenal is where i got my ring gear bolts for my GM 12-bolt. They had to order them, but they got them in quick and werent a bad price at all. We also order alot of our supplies from them, here at my job. I highly recommend them.

That would be something special....thats why I said "If they are just bolts....nothing special...."
However, Fastenal is the store of the gods when it somes to fastening hardware....but they never have what I am looking for in stock either, but they can get, or can make ANY fastener
