Stage 2 or 3 ?

When I do my tranny swap... I want do install a better clutch and a lightweight flywheel.... but I'm wondering how much is "too much" for what I have done to my car at the moment.

Assuming I can find a NVG tranny.......

I want to install at least a stage 2 clutch (prob spec 2) but was thinking of a spec stage 3 but I'm not sure if that would make my car too hard to drive in traffic or not. Either way... I'm leaning toward a fidanza flywheel.

Obviously with the mods I have right now.... I don't "need" anything that strong yet.... but I want my clutch to grab hard and engage pretty quickly when I let out the clutch... ( basically... on or off.... with very little in between)..... plus I want it to handle any beating I'll give it at the track...

I'm wondering if anyone with a spec stage 3 clutch can tell me what it's like on a daily basis..... as long as there's just that little bit between fully engaged and fully disengaged so I can slip it to take off I'll be good...

I might sound crazy... but I've always preferred touchy clutches that fully engage almost emediatly after they start to grab.....

Thanks.

I have the Spec stage 2 and Fidanza flywheel on my 01 Z24. Love it!!! The pedal is at the top about a inch and a half of travel to shift gears. I have also driven a 2.4 with a Spec stage 3 and Fidanza flywheel. A lot less travel, still can be daily driven. If you are staying all motor stage 2 is plenty!! Also Spec stage 3's seem to have much less life to them over the stage 2's.

Thanks.... the lifespan thing will prob sell me on a stage 2.....

For some reason... I just like clutches that are almost impossible to slip.... maybee I'm stange... who knows..

I'll prob go with the stage 2 then... especially since they cost less, last longer, and will be enough.

Did you notice much of a difference with the flywheel at all.... Does it really rev that much easier?

Man I can't wait to get that crappy tranny out of the car....

Yes I did. It seems I puicked up a few hp at the wheels with it. car seems much easier to drive as well. Others have said the same after driving my car with this set-up.
