Im looking for shifter bushings and booger bushings for my 05 sunfire help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my buddy put them in his srt-4 and i want them anyone know where i can find them or even if they make them??????
never heard of them for a cavi or fire, but i know what your talkin about my buddy has them in his SRT also
yeah what a diffrence they make in the shifter feel...... thanks im just hoping that someday they will come out with them
they just dont allow as much play in the shifter, he said he didnt even notice a big difference in them... i dont know if there is any way for them to make them for the Jbody isnt the whole shifter riveted down?
A friend of mine has a set of Booger bushings in their older 99 r/t neon and they made one hell of a difference on that car. They're just polyurethane shifter bushings, they help take some of the slack and play out of the shifter and/or cable ends allowing for firmer more direct shifts. My same friend has them on his older hm284 grand prix too.
I'm pretty positive the ones he makes won't fit a jbody. However I pretty much promise that McMaster-Carr will have a bushing of some sort that would work - getting the exact size and finding it on their site would be another story though.
