I have heard that you can swap the diff from the geo storm 5 speed to the cavy isuzu?? I was told that it was a stronger diff than whats in the cavalier isuzu, i was wondering if this is true or just some random bs.

im wanting to do this on my 2.0L OHC sunbird too... just curious, is it a direct bolt up? no modification to make it work really? or would it just be swapping gears? thanks, dont mean to thread jack, just wondering...

Yea, I am running a diff from a 90 sunbird, and a friend of mine used a diff from a 91 Isuzu in his Cav before he sold it

MK7 I believe for the GM....I am not sure what the designation is for the GEO version

You already have the stronger diff. GM didn't start making the weaker diffs until about 1995

yea because the isuzu diff has compressed metal spyder gears and the geo diff has cnc machined spyder gears , so thats nice my buddy took the spyder gears out of his cavi and swapped them with the geo ones , runs fine
