Ecotec to tranny mount?
Tuesday, August 21, 2007 10:01 PM
While removing my motor today, i noticed there was a bracket missing that connects the tranny to the motor on the passenger side right above the CV output shaft. Are they the same bracket thats on the 2200 4t40e? Its in the same damn spot but i don't have my 2200 outta my car yet and this is one of a few things i've noticed i need to get from somewhere.

not sure if that bracket is the same on them or not

best would be to call the deal and see if the part # is the same for the eco , 2.4 and 2.2 , that way you have more choices on getting 1 at a junk yard

definitely let us know what you need Cody.

Eco's seem to be in short supply at the junkyard, but we find them ever so often. with all the motor swaps and stuff we have going on in the next few months, we'll be taking a lot of trips to the yard.

Well a few things that are sticking out in my head right now are....

My oil dipstick is fudged. I had to use a hammer to beat the damn thing to come out. It had rusted.

my fuel lines are all corroded on the connectors. The black ones that run from the hardlines under the car to the portion on the fuel rail

Those are 2 that i can think of off my head right now. NY winters do a number on these engines and i have a lot of work cleaning everything up to make it look new again.

No biggie man. I really don't need these things till next summer anyways. I can't assemble an engine in my dorm room, although it would be friggen sweet. Just lemme know when you guys are planning on going back cause i finally made a list of everything there is i am missing.
