"bounching under hard acceleration after shift
Saturday, August 25, 2007 8:01 AM
Hey all, Ive had this problem, or maybe its not a problem, since i bought my car.

When I nail it and shift hard, going into 2nd the car will jerk, or buck, almost like if you let out the clutch too hard from a stop.

It also does a similar movement when in 1st or second, coasting, like to a stop or in a parking lot, in gear but no gas applied.

Ive got the poly mounts for the trans in my trunk... Im thinking this is what the cause of it is, I just want to make sure its nothing serious.

any help would be awesome! thanks!

Well yea, the clutch is going out... i didnt think of that

Im a bit new to 5spds, not driving them, but actually working on a car with a 5spd.

Ill be replacing the clutch with a stage2, and doing poly mounts everywhere as soon as money permits.

This should solve the problem then?

thanks!

it will help, but the friction disk still has sprigs in it.
