i ned a clutch!
Friday, August 10, 2007 7:42 AM
I have a 1994 cavalier 2.2 5-speed and the clutch is on it's last leg.

How hard is it to replace the clutch in this car VS. how much will it cost to have someone replace it for me, ie. shop or a member here?

I live in Oswego IL and i will be willing to travel. I am not looking for anything performance wise, just a direct replacement. I just want this done and ON THE CHEAP!

Thanks!

You will need:
throw out bearing
friction disk
pressure pad

flywheel resurfacing.

7 hours labor (from the book)

My mechanic said about $1000 dollars total. The transmission has to be removed.
