everything. they don't blow up with stock torque, they do handle a lot more torque and horsepower. Patrick, since you have a 2000+, you're going to need the getrag.
dont forget the better gear ratios..
sorry to threar jack but, ok i was told last week from a junk yard that Grand Am Getrags have smaller 4 and 5th gears and are better for performance, is this true?
I have a 2003 cavalier with 68,000 miles the motor on it and I am currently getting ready to drop in the fourth getrag in it now. The spider gears seem to keep blowing through the housing. I only have a intake , rk cat back, and rk lower motor mount. If anyone can explain this please let me know.

All I know is that the synchros in the isuzus are garbage, they dont hold up to nuthin, all I have is an intake and I destroyed mine!

40,000 Here and still on orginal tranny.
I toasted the spider gears in my Isuzu in my 98 Z at 83K miles. Syncros were fine. I know why it happened. I purchased a new transmission from a competing dealer of the one I worked at, at that time. I trust my Isuzu to get me where I need to go. Just have to drive the car the way it was intended to be driven.
I have killed several second gear syncros and one diff in Getrags. This was of course due to "abusive" driving.
I've got 340,000km's on my untouched isuzu tranny, and my car was beaten on daily for most of it's life.
