i have read the searchs and i still have heard that my 2001 with a 2.2 (non eco) will bolt right up to a manual tranny from the same year/engine.
is this true?. People have told me i do NOT need to do new mounts for this swap.
and do i need any electrical work done for this swap.
Again. I have a 2001, 2200 OHV, with a 4spd auto as of now.
please help with this
Yes, it will bolt up to the engine, but people you talk to are wrong, you WILL need new mounts. And you will have to modify your stock harness a little bit, or swap in a 5 speed one, whichever you are more comfortable with. You'll also need your ECU reflashed to a 5 speed.

Are the mounts able to be swapped in from the auto mounts or is welding required?
Could this be something that I could do with a couple grade 10 bolts through the frame instead of welding?
