ok i have a 97 z24 5 spd . when i shift from 3rd to 4th its reallly hard sometimes or from 5th to 4th. its done this since i bought the car 2 years ago. i thought it was the shifter so i put a b/m short throw in, it still did the same thing . then i bought brand new shifter cables. still does it. and recently i replaced the whole trans . and it still does it. i know its not the new trans because it came out of my grand am and it shiftet perfect even the day i pulled it out. does anyone know what it could be it really bothers me. and yes the fluid is full.

did you use the same clutch and tob
?? might be the problen, did you bleed out the slave too?

wouldn't that cause it to be hard to shift in all gears? still, good thing to check
