Hey all...
Im gonna swap a 5 speed into my 97 cav 2.4.
I found a cav local for the swap-but its a 99... I know I need to weld new brackets on the driverside frame rail- but my question is this..
Where can I find the brackets to weld in?
I know TTR makes the front Getrag bracket and you can get the rear one from GM, but from what Ive been reading, they are different than the isuzu mounts..
Can I use the front Getrag mount from TTR on my isuzu?
Can I get a rear mount for the isuzu somewhere?
Do I have to torch the mounts out of the 99 donor car?
Ive done alot of reading, but no one really looks into the isuzu swaps..
Should I try to find a getrag swap instead??
Thanks for any info..

id torch the mounts outta the donor car
just make sure and take some measurements before you cut um out , so you can line them up in the car
yea, I've never looked into putting a ISUZU INTO a J-body...... since if your doing all the work, might as well go with the F23 Getrag...

why not use the older getrag and not bother with the mounts????
IMO i went right to the new Getrag tranns 2000+ in my 1996 auto cavalier (well it was)
