Hi,
My grandfather passed away a year ago and gave me his truck, I went down to his place about a month ago and picked it up. But a few weeks ago I was driving fine and then all of a sudden, my transmission slipped and I was just revving. I have a 1984 Chevy C20, and I can go up 15mph without trouble and when I go above that it will be fine but then if I slow down and try to speed up again the transmission starts to slip and I just rev. Another thing is that once the transmission fluid heats up the car starts to make a weird noise(sounds like a broken fan). I have no clue about transmissions so I figured I ask you guys and see if you could help me, because I don't have a whole lot of money to put into this truck if I need a new transmission.
