i have read posts but i see nothing for the 01.....i have heard it is direct bolt up....take auto out...put manual in...is this true?

do i need new cv shafts....

i know i need pedal assembly, shifter and linkage, clutch res,

what else do i need....do i just go to a junk yard and take a manual from and 01 2.2 and put it in?

please help

I was going to attempt this swap in my 01 sunfire gt, I even bought a whole parts car, but everything needs to be changed including the under hood harness, the under dash harness, all pedals with pedal boxes, center console, etc. Once I had all this stuff out, I found out that I need the trans mount brackets that are welded to the drivers frame rail. Thats just too much work, so I gave up on my swap, I will live with the stock power till I do the 3400/4t60e swap.
