diff slip? only one tires spins....?

ok so im a total "noob"(as most you would call me) and am probably going to get flamed but i really want to learn someone educate me please

So ive got a 00 Cav z24 5 spd (new car, only had for a month or 2)... ive noticed that it seems only the passenger side tire wants to spin. What causes this? Is it a sign of problems down the road? how far down the road? How do i fix? Expensive? Is it worth it?

Like today i was on some wet grass and gave it a little too much and i would have expected both tires to spin but only the passenger side did :S like even my old daytona that could only spin them when neutral dropping still spun both tires.

And i have no idea how the car was drove before me(im starting to think not so well) its only got 133xxx KM on it.

Please anything, any websites to educate me or anything. I like reading about cars and learning how thinks work.

p.s - i know someone is going to say stop driving like a jackass on public roads and all that, thought i would just let you all know that i am NOT one of them jackasses....well maybe the odd time but what do you expect from a 17 year old guy? The worst ive ever bagged on my car was when it was raining i took off spinning the tires in 1st....2nd....n a little in 3rd. And i felt bad for the car lol

let the flaming begin lol

Its because its an open differential. Not a limited slip differential. Spinning the tire is going to tear your diff up by the way. If you want to do burn outs you need to get a limited slip differential. You can try to buy one but its over a grand and I hear hard to come by, Or you can buy an insert off of one of the vendors on this website and make your diff act like a limited slip one.

Nothing is wrong with your car as is from what you describe. You might just break it if you keep doing that. or it could already be damaged. The spider gears have no bearings, they aren't meant to be spun like that.
