ok guys i got this tranny installed and stuff its from a 04 that had 30k miles on it.. when we changed transmissions i put in fresh gm syncromesh fluid in her.. and for some reason in 3rd 4th and 5th gear when i am in high rpms 4k and up and let off the gas it makes the getrag tranny noise untill either i hit the gas again or it goes below 3k.. can someone shed some light on this. dad said it could be where the car i got the tranny from sat in the junk yard for who knows how long and its the thrust washers in the tranny making this noise due to rust or gunk or something... well how can i get it to stop.. is this trany fubared too? i hope not... this is the ONLY out of place noise it makes though. a guy at work recomeneded me to change the fluid one more time after a the break in priod for the clutch or some what after it...
oh also i went to 2 quarts instead of the 1.8 recomened by gm.
picked up 2 quarts of the b&m trick shift automatic tranny fluid and i am goig to give thta a try. i am beginging to think its the clutch chattering becuae its not broken in all the way yet but ah well... no biggy....
i switched the fluid today and guess what guys.... you were right.... no more noise

well its not totaly 100 percent gone but its bairly noticeable now... its much better though
GM calls for this saturn fluid for the getrag's.
