Ok, i have had the clutch master cylinder off for a while now, i have the motor pulled, and today when i went to put the master cylinder back on, there was something that looked like a bearing (?) that was at the end of the part where the motor and trans come together, the part that goes into the clutch, flywheel, crank, ect. .. then theres the peice where the end of the master cylinder goes in, and it seem when i push on it, and then that pushes on the master cylinder, then i get the ring in right, and the peice of the ring around the bearing onto the "arms" (?) that come off that, that it will go back, but when i let pressure off of it, the bearing slides back to the end again, and alot of the time, the ring will come out from the bearing.. here are some pics so you'll know more.. hope you can help me, cause i have no idea what to do!! lol all help is appriciated.. thanks

are you descibing the throwout bearing?

umm... im really not sure, maybe.. in the picures, its the round thing right after the notched place where the clutch and crank go onto the trans..that little ring looking thing lol.. to tell you the truth.. i dont really know hardly anything about trans. i know basically everything else but trans. lol.. but would you know how it goes back on?
