Replacing OEM clutch
Wednesday, February 28, 2007 12:17 AM
I have a 2000 Z24 Cavalier. I'm looking to replace my clutch this season, but am totally new on what to get. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreshiate it. The car is pretty much stock motor wize, with only a short-ram intake. I plan on doing a header, as well as the flywheel when I replace the clutch. I had a quote for a stage 3 centre force for $340 cdn tax/included. Not to sure if that'd be over kill or not. Also heard that the centre force clutch isn't the greatest. So any input would be great.

Thank you

for that stock of a car stage three is WAY overkill. unless you plan on running nitrous or boot, dont go above a 2. if its a daily driven car, and you dont plan to see much of the track, go with the stage one. get them from turbotech.

I knew the Stage 3 would be over kill, but is that not a good price for that clutch?

Thats a bangin price but it won't survive long as a daily driver

Spec Stage 2 is a great clutch, we have them lower than buying direct through SPEC, so let us know if you have any questions. We can get one to you pretty quick.
