Anyone else have there Clutch master cylinder fail on them prematurely? It just happened to mine and it also happened to my friends. Is this by Chance a TSB?
my car is a 2004 cavalier with less than 40K miles.
Thanks

I had a hose on the master cylinder with a factory defect which the dealership said was fairly common on the 2004's. It was draining the fluid pretty quickly. It was replaced at about 23k under warranty. They replaced the whole thing rather than just the hose. This was on my old 04 Cavalier.
Mine had to be replace twice already on my 05. once at 10,000 and again at about 21,000. I have 29,000 miles on it now and no problems so far.
ok... I feel a little bit better knowing that it is a common issue.
Thanks.

What kind of warrenty were you under? My dealer told me that nothing involving the clutch is covered and its all on me.
My slave went out under 16,000 miles (2005 Sunfire). Hope it was a fluke.

i have a 2004 cavalier and i had the exact same problem. ( i pushed in on the clutch and it just stayed to the floor) My car had 33,000 miles when this happenend and so the dealership fixed it.
