I was just wondering if anyone has ever used Zoom clutches? I'm getting a new motor put in my Z tomorrow and I figure while the guy is at is I might as well get a new clutch put in.
Time is the issue here, seeing as he's going to start the job tomorrow I need to get it to him by then. So I decided to check Summit to see what kind of clutches they have and whatnot and it seems the only brand they carry is Zoom. I've never heard of the brand before and I was just wondering if it's decent or not. ( and in case you're wondering I only live about 45min away from Summit, so thats why I'm able to go there and get the clutch. )
I'd much rather get a clutch from Gravana or another company, but I just don't have the time.
Also what stage should I get? It will mostly be daily driving with some fun along the way. And I might take it down the strip a couple times later on.
Thanks in advance for any input...
well, i have a zoom friction disk in my car, oem pressure plate. i've never EVER had it slip.
as for the stage, if you don't have any big mods, i wouldn't go anywhere above a stage two. if its just a drop in replacement engine, i'd go with a stage 1. but i'd say nothing above a stage two for a daily driver.
