Clutch Looses Flid Slowly, Slave, or Lines?
Saturday, January 20, 2007 5:33 PM
In my GFs 2.4 Vert 5 Speed I have to fill the clutch about once a week or every 200 ish miles. I bled the system and it has tons of pressure so it seems like the slave is working and not leaking. However where the F is my fluid going??? I dont know what to do and what to check, there is no visible leaks but I dont know where to start.

Anyone else have problems like this?

Chris

I had the same problem. Turned out it was a bad o-ring in the quick connect coupler right near the tranny where the line from the master cylinder connects to the slave. Just had a slow drip. Barely noticeable.

What quick disconnect are you talking about, the line going to the tranny or the one on the firewall? How did you fix this?

The one going from the slave cylinder to the line that goes up to the master cylinder. It's right next to the tranny. I just replaced the o-ring.

I had a problem like this. Turned out the line from the master to the slave had rubbed on the bracket for the main harness and had a tiny hole. Had to replace the line .... it wasn't cheap
