Do you guys know if the manual transmission in a 99 Z24 is the same as a regular cavalier's manual transmission ?

Thank you,
Danny.

If you mean the regular being the 2.2L OHV, no they are different bell housings... Axles I think are the same.

I right now have the 2.4L twin cam engine in my Z24, wondering if all cavalier manual trainees are the same no matter the model of the cavalier being regular, Z22 or Z24

That is what I thought you meant, the 2.4 in your Z24 has a different Tranny than a 2.2 or 2200 OHV engine. Also the Ecotec uses a different one also. Same main case from 1995-99 and from 2000-05 (getrag) however the bell housing is different on each so it can bolt to the engine.

^ Careful, the 99- trannies are different than the 00-02 (Aaron knows this, but the other guy probably doesn't). The mounts, shifter, cables, clutch, flywheel are all different for 00+, so you can't just put the 00+ tranny on a 99.
