My wife's car is due for a transmission fluid change. Can anyone tell me the amount of fluid that this transmission holds? What I have found is for the three speed (3t40)is four quarts for initial fill? Total is 9.0 quarts. Is this correct? I got the information directly off the amsoil.com web page. Seems a bit much

thats exact. i looked here at work (NAPA) and it says the same thing.
