hey yall... i have a base 97 cavalier with a 3 speed automatic, i hate that its not a standard but i found a 5 speed from

a 98 CAVALIER Z 24... would this part just "bolt" on i know i will have to some mods to it, but will it be a mojor

ordeal? aslo i know this is the wrong forum, but i was wondering if a 97'ish z24 DOHC cam head would fit onto my

block, i have no engine mods except a intake...which dosent make much difference...

thanx for your time

Neither the transmission or the head will work on the 2.2L.

lol i made this exact same post almost 2 years ago back when I wanted to do an infamous "Honda Head Swap" Just save your money and get yourself a nice ecotec like I did. Its not worth modding an old skool 2.2 unless you are going major. (Ex. boost or juice)

trust me... just sell your car and find a 5 speed z24 or 2.2.... especially if its the base model just sell yours and find a nice 5 speed.
