leaking clutch fluid

ok well my cars been leaking clutch fluid for awhile and its getting annoying its a 97 2.2 5speed , its leaking from this little plunger deally on top front of tranny, i would replace it but no car part stores around here know what it is i found this crazy i thought ity was the slave but they showed me a slave and where it goes and thats not it, so any help would be appreciated on this subject.

Sounds like your dipstick is leaking....go to A GM dealer.

I have the NVG 5 speed tranny which has a dipstick. You must have the Isuzu which doesn't have a dipstick. Are you leaking clutch fluid or tranny fluid? There is a difference... Because iif you are leakin

And fill out your registry. It's hard to help when we don't even know what kind of car you have...

Take a picture of where it is leaking. Might help us see what it is. You didn't describe it very well...

id take a pic if i could but i dont have a cam and i put my car in the top post , yes i know theres a difference and yes im leaking clutch fluid

i had a leaking slave and replacd it myself your slave cylinder has that plunger lookin thing on it. it is the same piece so if you get that fixed youll be fine

Ok well your car does have as dipstick. The 5 speed isuzu cars did. I know because I owned a 97. It is hard to understand what you have described, but fron the location it is where the line from the clutch master cylinder meets the throw out bearing/slave cylinder. Also there is a bleeder valve there (tighten it to make sure it is not that). More than likely it is the TOB/Slave cylinder which will require the tranny to be dropped.
