ok I just picked up a brand spankin new isuzu trans, even says isuzu on the box. I put my rear mount on already, lines right up, doesn't need any spacers or anything, so this is definitely an isuzu trans. However its an external slave, and it didn't come with the slave....so does anyone have any idea how to go about getting a slave for this thing? Can I just use one from an NVG? I got pics...just can't upload them at the moment, so I can email them if you're interested
So that's out of a Isuzu Impulse? Or...?
This is for your 96 2.4?? If so the slave and TOB are the same unit, and you can get one from the GM dealer.

Apparently it's a 92-94 Isuzu transmission.... according to Paul's PM to me earlier...
couldn't he just get a slave from auto zone or would that not work on the older model?
thats just it....I have a slave already from my previous transmission....but its internal slave, and thats not what this trans is set up for....and having just found out its 92-94 its kinda hard to get the right slave because 92-94 quads to my knowledge were all muncie getrags and i doubt if one of those will work....guess we'll see.
John..yeah its for my 96...but the trans is a 92-94 model...otherwise it'd be simple

Looking at those pictures I would think just use the TOB/slave for your year car and you should be fine. The Slave is for the shifting action, so if you do not use the slave for that tranny, but the one for your car, and the system (meaning clutch pedal, clutch master cylinder etc... it will all work.

different flywheel and clutch? 95+ used a different setup, will that cause an issue?
