ok i have searched on this for like 2 days now and i have found a few thing but still not sure what is exactly wrong.
i have a 2.2 auto 4 speed trany and about 2 days ago my check engine light and track off light came on the car is going into gear really hard and will not shift out of 1st gear so when i get on the gas it just red lines anybody have an idea what it could be cause i really dont want to have to buy a new trany cause i dont have the time or the money to do that any help would be appreciated

Check fluid levels.. I had a similar problem where i couldnt shift out of park... Turns out the fluid was dangerously low due to a leak in the tranny pan gasket.. .02

Have someone scan you car to find out why the check engine light is on. It could be something as simply as you need a speed sensor.
