A friend of mine is selling his 93' Cavalier, with the 5-speed. I have a 99' Sunfire with the 3-speed auto. Anyone know if they would swap? I would swap in the 5-speed from his car. I just like driving a manual. Well that, and the fact that the Sunfire shifts so harsh. Would I see a noticeable drop in top gear rpm's at highway speeds? I do alot of highway driving, and would like the benefit of having overdrive. I know the swap would require a ton of work, but I am willing to do it. Let me know.

well...since your profile isnt filled out i have no idea what engine you have..so ill just say this...
it would be easier to swap in the 5speed getrag tranny from a 93 grand am or achieva than from a 93 cavalier
Sounds good. I have seen quite a few of those in the local junkyard, so it shouldn't be too hard to find a transmission.
