ok, heres a question, which i can not find for the life of me!
are the frame mounts from a 95-99 & 00+ 5spd the same?
if they are NOT, can they be modified to fit either application!? (for when doing a 5spd swap)

No.
The had a 95 2.2l izuzu tranny and the mount bracket were 14" apart. When i did my 01 z24 swap with 5spd getrag, the mount brackets needed to be 21" apart. I don' t have the part number anymore (john lenko might still have it from his swap) but youcan buy the rear upper bracket from gm for like 20bucks. Then just modify the front one and weld on some more metal
Hope that helps.

thats what i was asking! LOL
i know the mounts are in different locations!
i was asking if the mounts can be used for either application when doing the swaps!
can i get 2 rear GM mounts from a 00 and modify them for use on a izusu/getrag swap? (going from auto to 5spd)

If you are doing a getrag swap you can actually but both the rear mount (from GM), and the front mount from Turbo Tech Racing. Also when we did a Ecotec swap (the first time) we used 2 rear mounts and made one work for the front.

Here is what I know and maybe this should help you some. To swap from a izusu to the getrag the rear mount has to be changed, but the front mount you can use but will need to drill a new hole. So with that you could use a getrag rear mount (or buy the Turbo Tech front getrag mount), and put that in, but your rear could be issues.

I'll have to find some of the pics of my swap... then you will understand why you can't use the rear mount as a front... it's a totally different shaped piece of metal.
sh!t, that will help! LOL

Ok, this is the front getrag mount:
The Isuzu mount is similar, but the hole is on the other side of the bracket, because they're closer together. Here, I'm using the Turbo Tech Racing bracket. Good quality part!
This is the rear getrag mount:
The Isuzu mount looks totally different, and is much closer. This one was from GM... about $35 I think it was.
You might be able to modify two rears to make it work... but why not just get the right parts to start with?
I have pics from a wrecking yard somewhere... showing the differences in isuzu, getrag and auto mounts... but I'll be damned if I know where they are right now.

Never did a Auto - Isuzu swap, but I did a few Auto - Getrag swaps...... The first one I used two rear mounts (before TurboTech had their front mount)
