only costs pennies in material to manufacture. very close to the B&M, right down to the anodized blue axle. there should be a c-clip that holds it in place (not shown in picture?)

Ok, I bought an ebay one. For like $35. It came with a shift knob even though it said it didn't. I still didn't use the knob though. Everything fit good, only it didn't come with the C-clip to hold the pin in place. But you don't even need the clip because the pin stays on one side.

Why PM? If you wouldn't mind, why not post your info on removing the knob so everyone can benefit? And that way, it can be searched for in the future as well. How about it? Thanks.

I yanked my knob off, then screwed the stock knob onto the short shifter. Looks stock, but shorter.

Sorry lol, it wasnt too tough but mine would not pull off for the life of me. So basically i took a towel, put it in a vice like a sling with the knob inbetween not to scratch or tear the knob up. i did this with the old shifter still connected, so then i had it upside down, meaning the shifter shaft was pointing up, the reverse lockout was still on so i took a large chisel and put it agains the reverse lockout, then just hit it with a hammer till it popped off, the towel caught it so it didnt scratch once it popped off, really easy and didnt mess it up at all. i wish i would have taken pics. I did it this way since mine wouldnt pull off.

Did your fidanza shifter come with a knob, we always assumed they did, never looked inside the box... A recent customer stated they didnt receive a knob in the fidanza kit, and when we called fidanza they stated that the shifter does not come with a knob...

Or does anyone else know?

I bought the EBay knockoff and have had no problems with it whatsoever. The knob is smooth intead of being engraved with the B&M logo, which i OK. I like my knobs smooth anyway . Mine didn't come with a c-clip either, but I had a spare that worked just lying around. The chrome plating started to peel off of the knob (Which is heavy and looks like steel) a few months after getting the shifter, but seing as how the rest of the shifter is holding up, I'm not making a big deal out of it. Overall, I'm very impressed with the knockoff, and would buy another one if I needed it. Simply put, it's the best bang for the buck mod that I've done for my car.
