ok guys i have a 2.2 5speed 00fire and some times when i am shifting into any gear the odd time i get the feeling like a sponge is in my way of shifting. Also some times the car does not want to go into first like i have to put it in N push clutch down release and then back down again to get it into first any ideas whats going on the car has 222kms and the clutch has never been redone

You could try changing the trans oil, and see if that helps the shifting any.

As for the 1st gear thing, that's normal. When you stop they dont like to go into 1st. I dont know if it's not syncronised or what. I usually slide it into 2nd before going to 1st. Usually i've downshifted into 2nd anyways before stopping. And stopping is the only time you should need 1st.

ok cool thanks for that info can i just get the trans fluid at any auto parts store? an i once heard that to get rid of that rattling noise's in the getrags you use the Saturn tranny fluid some one said it was a TBI?
