Yes, I used a tester to find the ones with the lowest resistance.
Yes, I used the light blue with white stripe and red with the thick black stripe.
Yes, I have no check engine light.
No, I cant tell if its working.
No, it shifts just the same.
Please help me...whats wrong here!
faulty unit or you just didnt install it right, its not all that hard to install, the instructions that come with the unit have a picture of the GM connector with the correct wires already pointed out....
so if the wires are right, then the unit is faulty.

There are 2 red/black wires that look almost the same, this is one of the most common errors. Double check this

Don't use the cheap connectors they include in the package to "tap" the wires. The wires need to connect and sometimes they dont work. You may want to solder them.

Actually, before you solder I'd make sure that you have the correct red/black wire hooked up with the supplied connectors and that the unit is infact in working order(however you'd do that). I had mine working fine with the connectors for a year before I decided to solder. Just thought I'd throw that out there before you soldered it all together. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
