I took apart my NVG-T550 tranny to put in an LSD, and when I took off this metal thing that holds it in gear (I'm guessing) a small metal dowel popped out from somewhere and I don't know where it goes. There are two larger ones that fit into the plate, but I don't know where the smaller one came from. Here is a pic of the part I'm talking about:
2010 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited
1999 Cavalier Z24 Supercharged
1999 Grand AM SE (Beater Car)
1997 GMC Sierra
2007 Honda CBR 600RR
2005 Honda TRX450R
Im not 100% sure where it would go as i havent taken mine apart in a while... Damn
im not sure what a dowel really is..but if you took a pic of the actually part that came out i bet i could tell you where it goes..
Perhaps you'd be better off on V6Z24.com. They would have more knowledge about this trans, since it came in the 2nd gen cars.
i know what trans he has ..i even know what the pic is off..i just dont know what a dowel is lol
in that pic there is 2 10mm bolts..4 ball detents(5/16") ..2 small pins..and 4 springs...oh and the metal block part that the bolts hold down..other than that i have no idea what he lost cus i dont have a pic of it
A dowel is a metal pin. I found where it goes. There are the 2 that scott was talking about, but there is also a smaller one that goes in one of the shift rods. I looked and looked and finally figured it out :-)
