^ Everything you need to know
Sorry John, but he is also doing a Ecotec swap so that info is not all he needs.
Truly the hardest thing you have to work with is getting the tranny mounts welded in. A few Questions for you. What parts do you have already? Do you have a wrecked car? The tranny mount for the auto will need to be cut off, then weld in the manual tranny mounts. Also you need the brake and clutch pedal, as well clutch master cylinder, and to drill the holes in the firewall for the clutch master cylinder to go through. I have done this swap you are doing, but it really is not that bad if you have the parts and tools.
FU Tuning
For the actual trans swap, that is pretty much what he needs to know.
As far as the engine swap.... it's a 2002... he'll need the engine wiring and PCM.... minor stuff like downpipe, power steering lines, etc.... but he was asking about the transmission in his post.... so.....
so basically for me to do the swap on my 04 cavi with the ecotec wont be that difficult? how long did it take you to do yours? im getting a welder this weekend, and im gonna get all the parts for it next week, then take the weekend to do the whole swap and drop my turbo kit in... ill be able to drive it atleast to get it reflashed?
