I plan on getting a short throw shifter for my 97 sunfire Gt but I'm not sure which to get. The only ones I've been able to find are listed as working with 2000-2005 models. My question is: Is there any difference between this:

and a shifter for a 95-99 model? If they are different, can someone suggest where I might be able to find a shifter for a 95-97?

after reading your other post , all the short shifter are just lever replacements

they do not replace the whole assembly


B&M makes a short shifter for the 95-99's - http://www.carcustoms.net/product_info.php?products_id=330

I know but I also need to replace the main mount that bolts to the centre tunnel as there is a stress crack that allows the whole assembly to move.
