im building a 2200 eng now im going all out with forged internals ,roller rockers and so on . i want to run 15-20 psi on it but im worried about timming control and fuel management at idle to full boost . i dont have enough left to go stand alone so for now i need something capable but reasonable .lol, for fuel now i have a walbro 255 intank pump and a aremotive boost dependant reg (adjustable). as far as ignition ive got msd coil packs and magnecor 8.5 wires and ngk tr5 plugs . so what would be the most reasonablely priced option? also is timming a real big concern with these cars seeing the computer does it ?

you might wanna go with a colder plug, like a NGK TR6 or TR7 if you need to go that route, because like mentioned a couple post down the TR5 is in the stock temp range.
ther is a emanage kit on ebay for 450 it comes with the mod , ign harness,inj harness and boost sen . but no support tool for programing .

Yeah the E-Manage is great but you can also look into using a MSD DIS-2 for ignition and an Apexi SAFC for fuel. They would be just as good as the E-Manage. I just picked up a SAFC II for mine and I plan to get it wired up this weekend. But either setup would do the job.

SAFC is nowhere near as capable as an emanage when it comes to fuel on a boosted engine.
I'm running megasquirt for fuel, and DIS-2 for timing. Seems to be the easiest and most cost-effective solution for a good tune.

my general opinion about tuning is, tuning is a LOT in a higher HP car. Tuning can change whether you run on pump or race gas, whether your motor blows up or not. It's an important part. It's something you should DEFINITELY not cheap out on.
