I have a 2200 with a 3 speed trans. I recently rebuilt my trans... and now my engine is getting really tired. I found 2.4l with really low miles for a insainly awesome price, and i really want to use my current trans. I don't want to convert to manual, or to the 4 speed auto. My current three speed, is the strongest auto stock and i upgraded it when i rebuilt it. my trans is a 01, and the 2.4 engine is a 02, will they bolt up?
the 4T40E is a far superior tranny to the 3spd.
keep trans comments to one self... stick to topic question please.

i thought in 2000 they stopped making 3 speeds, i thought after that they were all 4speed....just curious how you have an 01 3speed
