Maxing out a 3 speed auto

How much HP can a stock 3 speed auto take before it blows/snaps/melts/breaks an axle/CV joint? I'm making long term turbo plans and need the right prep work so when it does happen, I will be ready.

The TH125C/3T40 is about the strongest Transmission in the J's, even though in stock form, it's the slowest. Read this for more info on building one. That post was about 2/3rds down the page.
