has anyone had the Fidanza flywheel shear off of the EcoTec?I know people have with the other motors i just want to find out before i put this thing in

theres a post on this page called "so...whats the warranty on spec?" that deals with fidanza flywheels breaking. apparantly if you call spec or fidanza and talk to them, they may replace it with no charge

not sure about the ecotec but my flywheel is fine. Make sure it is installed properly, correct side, correct torque specs. When i put mine on i think the manual wanted to the bolts put on in a specific order. I have heard some issues like that but also make sure it is installed properly. You can use the GM bolts or the original one and use Locktite
