Tore my Tranny down and can't figure out where the (2) .080 Dia. pins (3/8) long go. I know where the (3) larger pins go under the Shifter rod plate, but the other (2) have me puzzled. Took lots of pictures during teardown, but missed these somehow.
I believe the sit in the shafts.......

Scanned some pages out of my GM manual and sent them to you. See if they help.
"The FACTS are always subject to CHANGE once the TRUTH is applied"
"In the entire history of man the only stupid questions are the ones that don't get asked"
the other thing you can check out. Is the gmdirectparts.com and look up your transmission they have schematics
woops that is www.gmpartsdirect.com
I received some good info from Gary, but I still can't tell where the (3) small dowel pins go. The larger ones go under the shifter ass'y plate.
in the shafts them selves..... there are holes..... they sit in the holes....

The holes you are talking about, , are they the ones that the roll pins go into ? The roll pins are already in place. Stil lost...
the ends of the shafts, that sit below the plate inside the trans....... there are holes in the shafts. The small 'solid' pins go into the shafts, then the fatter ones sit in the grooves under the plate....... at least thats what I remember from working on the Isuzu, but its been awhile.
