hey guys just wondering if anyone knows maybe what my problem is ive got a 96 z24 5 speed the other day i puill out of a parking lot and mt car just pops out of gear and makes a weird grinding noise so i try to go to 2nd does the same thing and it wont grab none of the grears will grab except in reverse and if i take it to a high er rpm like 2grand it will do the same in reverse just wondering if it is in my clutch or is it the actual tranny? also wen i go to start the car each day wen its cold it makes the same weird clanky noise till it warms up

honestly, im not the smartest here but ive seen this before in my friends cavy, it sounds like your gears may be out of line our rounded off, hopefully your gears arent shot. Can you move the shift stick in a circle? if so yeah.. its no good... but hope its nothing major.

the shifter doesnt move in a circle but i can slide the shifter into any of the gears with out it grabbing it just makes a weird clunky scappy noise
