Prothane Trans Bushings
Tuesday, March 28, 2006 10:51 AM
Sorry if this was posted but I could not find it in a search...

The instructions for swapping the bushings on NY Jbodies has the center hole offset just like the stock mounts...the prothane bushings have the holes in the center on both the front and rear bushings (they are identical)
...I'm assuming but, these are the correct bushings?
...does this do anything to the position of the tranny?
...anyone have issues with these?
..any tips on getting the old bushings out?
...did the new ones go in with a vise?

Thanks

1) yes...
2) no.. it didn't with mine...
3)no issues whatsoever
4)u just used a vice and a hammer
5)a vice and a metal plate on either side... one on the housing and one on the bushing..
lots of lube.. and it slides right in..

The metal sleeves that come with the bushings are different lengths. One is longer than the other.

The longer one is the front.

The poly pieces themselves are identical.

Here's the search stuff
