ok first off i got a 97 cavalier 2.2 first question/problem is when i shift my car from 1st to 2nd it doesn't click. and what i mean is when the gear shift comes out of first into neutral you get a little click but going from neutral to seond theres no click...just a little resistance like i am pulling the shifter through something soft...(hard to describe) and it seems to go into gear now i haven't been driving the car its been in the barn for the last 4 months or more so i dunno if its just something from sitting or what...should i just wait till i take the car out and see if it works itself out or is there a problem there i should get fixed before i drive the car
seconds question is just this...whats the average life of a clutch. mines stock as far as i know and theres 170,000km on the car now. its not slipping or anything but i am just curious so i can be prepared in case its on its last legs. thanks guys
